Electronic Brakeforce Distribution - EBD
EBD stands for Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. It is a kind of advanced brake system that followed in Automotive. Especially in Cars. Its like updated version of Anti-Lock Braking system - ABS. It ensures the exact amount of force is applied to each and every wheel individually.
EBD worked by a principle that each wheel doesn't need equal amount of force to brake purpose. because, the every wheel in a car get different amount of load and different amount of speed. so If we give a same amount of force to all wheel. It leads to skid and even screeching sounds make you more scared. Thus the reason we used ABS for braking purpose. Now EBD is extended version of Anti-lock Brake System.
When brake applies in a vehicle, it's load distributed across the four wheels and each wheel doesn't support the same load. so we need to apply different force to each wheel as it requires. EBD ensures that exact braking force for each and every wheel.
If you apply brake too hard more than often. The momentum of the wheel which is faster than the speed at which it wheels are rotating. Thus the results is in loss of traction between tyres and road. eventually the vehicle to lose its control . Electronic Brakeforce Distribution aims ensuring the right braking force for every wheel.
